Lauren grew up in Port Moody, BC, Canada and began dancing at age 3 at the Caulfield School of Dance under the direction of Cori Caulfield. She trained in multiple disciplines and quickly developed an interest as a teenager in choreography and teaching. Lauren has been teaching since 2007 and is an established teacher and choreographer in the Greater Vancouver area in a variety of different styles including AcroDance, Jazz/Lyrical, Street Jazz/Jazz Funk, and Contemporary. She is a certified AcroDance instructor with Acrobatic Arts and hold accreditation with multiple training courses such as the Professional Adjudicators Alliance and Alixa Flexibility. In addition to teaching, Lauren is an Adjudicator across Canada and more recently in the United Kingdom. Lauren has recently moved back to Vancouver, Canada since living in London, where she has resided for the past 18 months, enjoying teaching, adjudicating and travelling in Europe!

Over her years as an instructor, she has helped her students attain multiple accolades through her training and choreography. Lauren has helped guide and train students to BC Provincial solo representative titles, has been awarded choreography awards in Jazz and Acro, and has had her Acro group win the 2024 BC GDS Provincial Title for Acro Group. Her groups and soloists are consistently successful at local competitions, placing in overalls. In addition to competition results, Lauren has helped guide and train dancers into professional dance careers with multiple students in post secondary dance programs, on cruise ships, and signed with agents.

Lauren is an alumni of Kill the Lights Co., a hip hop dance training company based out of Harbour Dance Centre, and has danced in various shows around the Vancouver area. She has also danced for companies like Sonic Nation Radio and Kia, and for artists such as Brian McKnight, Michael Buble, Charlotte Fischer, Lowkita, Jackie Valentine, and Laurell.

Lauren believes that a teacher should never stop being a student. She continues to train when she can and frequents workshops, conferences, and certifications to further her education. Lauren has a passion for teaching and thrives on watching her students grow. She hopes that she can pass along her love of this art to inspire others to be not only the best artist but also the best person they can be.
